Kent Hamblin After graduating from R-V in 1991, Kent went to work at Taylor Guitars, in El Cajon, California. He returned to the school in 1993, to pursue a course of independent study and hone his guitarmaking skills. He took those skills to The Phoenix Guitar Company in 1994 and '95, but then came back to R-V where he served as an instructor until late in 1998. His next position was with C Fox, a nationally known builder and teacher, where he stayed until 2001. Kent now works as an independent builder in Telluride, Colorado. His attention to detail and his fine sense of design mark Kent as a builder to watch, in the years to come.
