Tuition – Guitar Making and Repair

Tuition for the Spring 16 session  is $10,950. This figure does not include cost of the student’s tools or materials for student instruments. Financial Aid is available to students who qualify. Contact Bart Applewhite for more information. He can be reached by phone at 602-243-1179 or 1-800-507-FRET, or by e-mail at info@roberto-venn.com.

The cost of the optional Tool Seminar remains at $325.

Tools

Roberto-Venn provides the students with some of the specialized tools required for guitar building, as well as most supplies such as glue, sandpaper, and various solvents. However, students are required to have a kit of personal tools and supplies. A list of these tools is provided to students before the first day of class. Many of the required tools are available for purchase from the school at competitive prices, although students can buy them elsewhere or bring tools they already have. Questions regarding the suitability of personal tools can be answered by the R-V staff. The R-V School’s current total cost for the tools we stock is $1079 plus tax**.

Instrument Materials

The cost of materials used for the two required student instruments can vary widely depending on wood, hardware, and electronics choices. The cost for the two required student instruments averages about $1800 plus tax**. (This amount will be collected in the form of deposits)

Payment

Tuition and instrument materials balances will be collected in two payments-
The first day of class: Half of the tuition and $1,000 materials deposit will be due
11th week of class:  The remaining tuition and materials deposits are due.
Tool payments will be collected before the class starts.
*These amounts will vary for students receiving financial aid

** Tax (8.3%) will be added to all material purchases.
